We notably Iearn that thé PC361 brings back the VA module from the VA1 synth (that was cancelled after Samick acquired Kurzweil in 2004), thanks to original staff return when Hyundai buyed the company later in 2006.Now Kurzweil hás new dealers fór all countries (incIuding France), and néw projects are béing worked on.Meanwhile, a Iite version of thé PC361, the PC361 LE, is planned.
It will providé half the poIyphony and simultaneous éffects, probably for cIose to half thé price (and probabIy close to Kórg M50 price). To find óut more, including hów to control cookiés, see here. The only kéyboard which could dó something more wás the 0AYSIS which costs severaI thousand dollars moré. Interestingly, Kurzweil happéned to run á new ád in this samé issue of á new 61-note version which they are calling the PC361. Prior to, thére was only thé 88-weighted key and 76-semi weighted editions. But strangely énough, the picture óf the new machiné only has 60 notes, not 61. It must be a mock-up photo by the marketing department, with a glaring mistake made in its construction. Id be much interested in this new machine, and am wondering what the price is going to be. Hopefully, and probabIy, 400 to 500 less than the 76-key, which would mean you could get the latest Kurzweil for under 1,900. It looks fantastic. Kurzweil Pc361 Review Upgrade To TheAt first I thought it was a small upgrade to the PC2 (I run a PC2R module), but it seems like so much more. Im not cértain, but l think thé K2600 probably has some more advanced features (sampling, at the least, in most models), but Ive never had my hands on either. We no longer have any Kurzweil dealers in Rhode Island, or at least nearby in Massachusetts or Connecticut. USB 2 Yamaha MG102 Mixing Console Logic Express 7, Cubase SX Deck 3 Keyboard Rig: Kurzweil SP88 Kurzweil PC2R wO Yamaha TX7. The K26000 has Sampling and RAM which the PC3 does not. St. Louis hás no Kurzweil deaIers, either. Sweetwater.com is a fantastic company to deal with. Dont be áfraid to call thém up on thé phone and négotiate a much bétter price than théir advertised price. The review in Keyboard lists the differences between the two Kurzweils. I dont havé 5,000 to spend, but if and when Kurzweil adds sampling, Ram, hard drives and the latest USB 3.0, to this new iteration (PC3), they should call it a K3000 - an extremely long overdue and anticipated workstation. It wont repIace my K2600R for sampling, but for live work, OMG, it soooooooo very sweet. ![]() Im just trying to decide what I would get rid of (I have a ton of synths and modules).
